Thinking of doing a destination elopement in France, Croatia, Portugal or somewhere else in Europe?

We have seen it so many times. Big weddings can be very stressful and often turns into everything else than focus on you two and your love for each other.

I dreamed my whole youth life of having a big wedding but when I actually was getting married I realized that I didn't want that at all. I was already thinking and worrying too much about the guests that would attend. Guests that we loved but who would steal the attention on what was actually important in that moment - mine and Viktors love for each other and that we in that moment would become husband and wife. Fun fact: I got the idea from the TV series How I Met Your Mother :-)

The best thing with small weddings is that you can focus on your love and just enjoy the experience rather than stress out about planning and making sure that everyone is having a good time.

You can have a dinner or party after the ceremony with your closest ones and celebrate anyway. That is a lovely thing to do. And then it's so wonderful to have a film of your ceremony to show. A film with good audio and light. A film for you to be able to go back to that day again and again and really feel how it felt.

AND WHAT PARTS OF THE DAY DO YOU WANT TO DOCUMENT

All pieces of the day is important in diffrent ways. We love the "in between moments" because they are the most natural moments to capture.

1. PREPARATIONS

The moments before you give your vows. When you put on the dress. The small details you have chosen to wear that day. The place where you did your preparations and when you had those small goosebumps. This is a beautiful piece of the day.

If you have anyone with you its a beautiful moment when they see you getting ready to get married.

2. FIRST LOOK

When you walk to your soon to become husband or wife

and he/she will see you in your dress maybe for the first time.

This is often a very emotional moment that is wonderful to have memories of.

We keep a distance so that you can have the moment for yourself.

3. THE CEREMONY AND CONGRATS AFTER

The most important part of the day of course. If you have guests,the part after the ceremony when they hug you and congrats you is the most beautiful time with your close ones, with so many feelings.

In our blog we have a lot of tips how you can have a outside ceremony that will be sucessfull despite of the weather.

4. PORTRAITS DAYTIME

Make time for portraits during the day also. Some places are better light during the day and some during golden hour. Its a good idea to have the portraits in set of two with diffrent places.

5. TABLE SETTING AND SOME SPEECHES

We can document the table settings, and film speaches from your loved ones to have in your weddingfilm.

6. PORTRAITS GOLDEN HOUR

Golden hour portraits. Waiting for that magical light during sunset is so worth it. This is the most beautiful light the whole day. Let the sun fall into your hair. Watch the sun go down behind the horizon. The golden sky makes a special show everytime, no sunset is like the other. And its not only for the pictures its an amazing experience.

DESTINATION ELOPEMENT IN EUROPE

We are going to write a blogpost about this topic where we going more in details about amazing places to elope in Europe but we must show you this in the meantime. Its the Gorges du Verdon and it has both amazing views over montains and you can paddle and swim in the water and its amazing.

We do flowers also so that you dont have to think about that if you are eloping.

It is a lot of thing you have to think about when getting married in a foreign country. Usually you need to fix the legal papers that you are married in your own country first, and then you have the ceremony and celebration on your destination.
